Nová Spirála is helmed by a seasoned team responsible for the quality of programming, artistic, and technological standard of the shows, operation and lease of the building, and care for visitors. Our shared goal is an unforgettable experience for all visitors not only during the show, but also before and after.
Jan Makalouš
Director
Jan is in charge of the overall management of Nová Spirála and all aspects of the building operation. His role is to form Nová Spirála’s identity in terms of programming, finance, personnel, and operation. He has a wealth of experience as a former executive producer with Czech TV, as well as several major creative positions in the private commercial sector.
At Nová Spirála, he uses his extensive experience with audiovisual and live productions and with managing numerous teams of collaborators. His approach includes an emphasis on using the unique technical and logistic options of the venue, contributing to its unique position.
Adam Skala
Artistic Director
Adam shapes the creative identity of Nová Spirála and stands behind a dramaturgical vision that connects art, modern technologies, and the originality of the space. Drawing on his many years of directing experience, he is able to discover new forms of expression and select collaborating artists so that each production carries a distinctive signature and a high artistic standard.
