Nová Spirála is helmed by a seasoned team responsible for the quality of programming, artistic, and technological standard of the shows, operation and lease of the building, and care for visitors. Our shared goal is an unforgettable experience for all visitors not only during the show, but also before and after.

Jan Makalouš

Director

Jan is in charge of the overall management of Nová Spirála and all aspects of the building operation. His role is to form Nová Spirála’s identity in terms of programming, finance, personnel, and operation. He has a wealth of experience as a former executive producer with Czech TV, as well as several major creative positions in the private commercial sector.

At Nová Spirála, he uses his extensive experience with audiovisual and live productions and with managing numerous teams of collaborators. His approach includes an emphasis on using the unique technical and logistic options of the venue, contributing to its unique position.

Ondřej Kuropata

Head of Production

In conjunction with the Project Manager, Ondřej radically contributes towards the seamless progress of Nová Spirála’s projects. He provides the crucial communication interface for both internal and external collaborators involved in projects. His extraordinary contribution to the team and the overall atmosphere at Nová Spirála stems from his extensive professional history, including key roles in major positions with employers such as Výstaviště in Kroměříž and the Prague Congress Centre.

Head of Operation

Kateřina is in charge of staffing every event in conjunction with Nová Spirála’s in-house personnel and external collaborators. She is in charge of communicating with suppliers and organising external services. She cooperates closely with the Head of Production

Helena Blažejová

Nová Spirála Secretary/Assistant to the Director

Helena is in charge of running the Director’s secretariat. She ensures seamless communication with spectators, answering their questions and coordinating meetings and discussions between external team members and Nová Spirála employees.
